A droplet of a hundred nanoliters to a few picoliters replaces a Petri dish or an incubator to grow bacteria, fungi, algae or yeast.
Preparation, incubation, analysis and high-throughput sorting operations are done by a single instrument.
Each droplet is a reservoir handled individually: choose the initial composition, add compounds, sort droplets of interest.
Because of the high number of droplets, we can observe many reactions in parallel, without cross-contamination between cultures or evaporation.
Microorganisms are cultivated, analyzed and recovered automatically in the MilliDrop Analyzer.
